The Impact of Total Quality Management (Employee Training and Continues Improvement) on the Performance of the Yemeni Higher Education Sector

Abstract: This study examined the relationship between employee training, continuous improvement, and the performance of the Yemeni higher education sector. Survey questionnaires were used to collect the data. Then The data was analyzed using SPSS and Smartpls programs. The unit of analysis for the study was 272 employees in higher education institutions in Yemen. The result showed positive and significant relationships between employee training, continuous improvement, and higher education performance in Yemen. It has been widely accepted that continuous improvement is essential to the success of TQM. TQM will be successful not only with the effort and activity of a particular person or group but with constant improvement and management skills. For this, the importance given to the subject and the leadership of the senior management in educational institutions is paramount. Giving importance to long-term goals and participating in group work with determination in the unity of the target of all employees, disciplined, planned, from the top position to the bottom employees, training should be given to understand and apply TQM with specific goals.
